While driving the most visitors to your site is obviously the goal of
the site owner, it is also the goal of your directories/advertising. Big
numbers are good, but only if there is the delivery of quality leads
mixed in with those others. This becomes a matter of relevance.. Most
search engines are horrid in this regard. Some directories might be just
as bad, but generally are better.

If it's a directory providing these types of visits, that directory may
well not be worth it. You obviously need to have visits converting to
reservations. These quick visits can be signs of poorly directed
leads.... quanities but not quality.

Anybody could position themselves well on the term 'Niagra Falls'. It
might cost a lot of money, but you would get the clicks! But, once a
person clicks through to find out you are in Arizona........ unless
they're driving through Arizona to get to Niagra Falls, you likely just
wasted money and the visitor's time.

Aaahh what a hodgepodge of ideas this creates.
